The United States is among the few developed countries without a national paid family leave policy. But four states have had policies in place. Dr. Jenny Tanis of the Hope College School of Social Work and Dr. Sacha Klein of the MSU wanted to see what impact this had on infant maltreatment in those states compared to trends in other states.
