鶹Ƶվ dance affiliate StrikeTime Dance Theatre will present a live dance event for children, “World Art Dancing Gallery,” on Friday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. in the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

All of the works on the program have been inspired by world art and dance.  Nicole Flinn-Culver, artistic director, worked collaboratively with choreographers, students and Zeeland Public Schools’ visual arts teachers to develop a performance that shares the connections between dance, visual art and culture.

Student artwork will be displayed in the theater during performances.  In the World Art Dancing Gallery, audience members will explore how dance and art connect cultures around the world. We'll journey through Mexico's lively Folklorico, South Africa's energetic gumboot rhythms, Japan's beautiful art of Kintsugi, the totem carvings of the Pacific Northwest, and more.

To inquire about accessibility or if you need accommodations to fully participate in the event, please email accommodations@hope.edu.  Updates related to events are posted when available at hope.edu/calendar in the individual listings.

The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. Eighth St. between College and Columbia Avenues.
